With the launch of a new IT Software Service called Xerox PrintAssist, our customer Xerox needed to support, train and promote this innovative solution to the channel.
Xerox PrintAssist is a plugin that utilises Xerox’s cloud-based IT and managed print services and solutions and marries this with Labtech’s monitoring solutions.
Signals were asked to produce a short video and training presentation to explain the virtues and benefits of PrintAssist. A unique requirement of the project was that the branding of the video and presentation needed to be LabTech branded and not our usual Xerox customer branding. This requirement was both an opportunity to be creative, and a difficult challenge at the same time in terms of learning a new set of guidelines in a short time.
Working from a collection of customer slides, Signals was able to script and visualise a short video. We started by producing a draft voiceover script which we then transformed into a visual storyboard using a simple illustrative graphic approach which fitted the LabTech branding perfectly. We then constructed the video in the latest Adobe After Effects CC and combined a studio voice over and production music.
The training presentation was an equal measure of work to the video, requiring strong visual sign posting, a logical flow of content and structure, and engaging support graphics. Again, we enlisted the use of strong illustrative visuals and colours to convey the various key topics such as software Installation, Setup, and Configuration.
The resulting video is a simple, visual sequence which highlights the fundamentals of the Xerox PrintAssist solution.
The training presentation is comprehensive, attractive and engaging – all the right ingredients for a successful launch.
