NCMA Training Program

The National Childminding Association (NCMA) is the only national charity and membership organisation that speaks on behalf of registered childminders in England and Wales.

One of NCMA’s primary objectives is to make sure that members have easy access to all the information, training and support they need to do a proper job. As with all charities, getting the very best value from every pound of expenditure is essential. So when NCMA decided to launch a new training initiative, it turned to Signals for help.

The Signals development team created a CD-ROM containing a wide range of material for training NCMA members to care for disabled children. It’s given professional childminders easy, single-point access to suggested workshop plans, training videos, timed activities, presentations, handouts and information on further research.

In addition to the CD-ROM development and packaging, Signals produced an extensive collection of printable Adobe Acrobat® PDF documents and PowerPoint™ Presentations for inclusion on the CD.

The result? Childminders across the UK are benefiting from a valuable training tool, disabled children are getting the professional care and attention they need, and NCMA is achieving its objectives without losing control of the costs.
